Beyonce mixed things up a bit during her performance at the 2010 Grammy Awards and sang "If I Were a Boy" and then broke into a version of "You Oughta Know" by Alanis Morissette. She was definitely on a roll and made history by becoming the most honoured woman in one night in the 52-year history of the awards show. She took home six trophies, including song of the year for her anthem, "Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)". What do you think of her performance?
American Idol—More auditions tonight. This time around the gang is in Chicago and Shania Twain is the guest judge. What? No Oprah? (Fox8)
Jimmy Kimmel Live—Normally I don’t tune in to Kimmel, but Aussie girlpower guitarist extraordinaire Orianthi is on the show. She’ll probably just play but MAYBE she’ll tell some stories about being on tour with Michael Jackson. (Comedy)
Californication—Charlie loses his job and Hank takes him out for a night on the town. What? Kathleen Turner sacks him? You know this isn’t going to end well. (Ten)
Tennis—Day 3 of the Australian Open. Tonight it’s Elena Dementieva and Justine Henin in the women’s singles second round and Marin Cilic plays Aussie Bernard Tomic. (Seven)
Say Yes to the Dress—Not sure how this fits in the Discovery Health schedule, BUT the second season of the show kicks-off at the Kleinfeld bridal salon, where they have over 100 appointments with brides a day. (Discovery Health)
Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban stole the show at the G’Day USA Ball on Saturday night in Los Angeles by serenading mate Simon Baker. Nicole has always insisted that she would “never” duet with her famous hubby, but obviously made an exception. Simon was receiving an award at the event and the pair sang Men at Work’s Land Down Under and changed the lyrics to “And his name is Simon Baker, surfer dude, home renovator.” One of Nicole’s best friends is Simon’s wife, Rebecca Rigg.
Also making appearances at the event were Toni Collette, Sam Worthington, Olivia Newton-John, Mia Wasikowska, Jennifer Hawkins, Cameron Diaz, John Travolta, Holly Valance and a newly divorced Greg Norman. One surprise no-show was Chris and Liam Hemsworth. The boys had rsvp-d for the event and Liam was expected to make an appearance with girlfriend Miley Cyrus, but unfortunately they were nowhere to be found. Now we just have to wait for the Keith and Nicole duet to hit You Tube.
When I saw the first photo from Sex and the City 2, I was inspired to go out and buy a flury of white dresses and pair them with gold accessories. I love the white Halston dress Sarah Jessica Parker wears in the promo ads and apparently, so does she. Rumour has it she may signing on for a consulting gig with the company. Casey Johnson, the heiress to the Johnson & Johnson fortune who recently made headlines with a reported engagement to reality star Tila Tequila, has died at age 30. Authorities arrived at her LA home at 11:51 a.m. Monday and she was pronounced dead at the scene. A police spokesperson said it appeared to be a natural death, but that the coroner would run a toxicology report. Tila immediately took to her Twitter page and claimed at one point that Casey was “in a coma.” Casey’s antics and fights with ex-girlfriends have attracted a lot of attention in the last few years and Tila claimed the two had recently had a spat. After claiming she was going to be offline and begging for her privacy, Tila then continued to post constant Tweets commenting throughout the day.
Angelina Jolie looked really cold in the back of her car as she left the set of Salt yesterday in New York City, where she's reshooting some scenes. She plays Evelyn Salt, a CIA officer who is accused by a defector of being a Russian spy and has to go on the run and try to clear her name. The film's not out until next year, but you can check out the trailer below. I'd love to know if you think you'll see it or skip it!
